GMST Summer Aquatics

WHAT:  Team and Individual Swim League Competition

WHEN:   League Practice from March 2 to May 4. Sundays 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

WHERE:  Swim Atlanta, 4850 Sugarloaf Parkway #702, Larenceville, GA 30046. Phone - (678) 985-4030.

ELIGIBLITY: Any athlete 16 year old or older with intellectual or developmental disabilities with prior swim experience that is current with their GAP annual fees, GMST medical form, and any individual sports fees. This is not a swim lesson program. Athlete must be able to swim the width of a 25 meter pool unassisted and without stopping. League training is conducted by the team coach and other volunteers. Practice is monitored, but a life guard is not on duty.

SOGA Summer State Games Aquatics Competition

Special Olympics of Georgia (SOGA) offers the State Games Aquatics Competition program each May at the Emory University George W. Woodruff P.E. Center, 26 Eagle Row, Atlanta, Ga 30322.  All GMST league aquatics athletes are invited to participate.

Any other GMST athletes interested in ONLY State games competition can register with GMST by contacting us at 404-625-3988.  A current or new medical application must be presented at the time of registration. Greater Atlanta Pathways (GAP) will fund the registration cost of state games. Practice for State Games will be announced via coaches emails.
